About Us

Welcome to Holistic Breast & Lymphatic Care, formerly known as the Spurlin Institute for Breast and Lymphatic Health. Despite our name change, our commitment to providing exceptional breast and lymphatic care remains unchanged.

Operating under the HealShare brand, our practice focuses on improving lymphatic breast health and education. We offer lymphatic support for breast health, postoperative, cosmetic surgery and general care, as well as assistance to nursing mothers managing mastitis and related concerns.

To enhance our services, we now integrate ASEA Redox supplementation to reduce lymphatic congestion. Additionally, we use bio-technology products including Lymphstar Pro by Arcturus, as well as Solex – AO Scan™ and AO Infinity Wand, which are proven  to effectively reduce firm tissue and associated pain through lymphatic enhancement therapy. These therapeutic modalities are incorporated into each customized solution to meet the individual needs of the  client.

Thank you for entrusting us with your care. We look forward to continuing to serve you with excellence and compassion.

I’d like to share a bit about my journey with this practice. It all began as a client, when Effie Spurlin led this nurturing and compassionate center dedicated to improving breast and lymphatic health. After undergoing treatment for breast cancer in 2018, I developed lymphedema in my left arm and breast. Lymphedema is a condition characterized by tissue swelling caused by an accumulation of protein-rich fluid, usually drained through the body’s lymphatic system.

I had surgery to remove these bad cells, several lymph nodes were removed and also received radiation treatment, which I believe ultimately led to the lymphedema diagnosis. Lymphatic drainage therapy was instrumental to reduce the tissue swelling and congestion I was experiencing. Managing this condition requires lifelong, ongoing treatment. There are times I can’t help but wonder if I knew then what I know now,  could I have altered my course? One thing I know for sure is that now, I am six years into “thriving” and loving every minute of this special gift of life!

Little did I know,  lymphatic drainage therapy would lead me to discover my new life’s passion and purpose. As a lifelong learner, I realized that my path was guiding me back toward a more “clinical” side of the healthcare sector as a wellness practitioner. Drawing on my background as a Registered Nurse and Health Coach, I am grateful to fulfill this new calling. I feel blessed to share my healing journey and continue to pursue my passion for helping others.
