Course Description
This class is designed to help Massage Therapist, Nurse Practitioners/Physicians Assistants/Lactation Consultants, Doulas, etc. understand and appreciate how to facilitate better breast health. The class expands on lymphatic techniques for breast health, a self-breast exam, Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), massage techniques for breast health and how cupping is used as a treatment. The therapists will understand the importance of the lymphatic system and how to do manual lymphatic drainage.
This class will also provide instructions on how to identify and palpate lymphatic congestion in the breast tissue. The therapist will learn a method to treat and reduce lymphatic congestion. In addition, the therapists will learn how to educate their clients to understand and appreciate the lymphatic system. They will learn how to take better care of their client’s breast tissue as well as their own. We will discuss and demonstrate on each therapist how cupping assist in breast health. There will be an introduction to Breast Thermography and how it assists in monitoring breast health.
This course is taught under the Rules and Regulations for the state of North Carolina and may not fall under the scope of other states.
Each massage therapist is responsible for verifying that information provided in the course is within the therapist’s state and/or local scope of practice as defined by law.
Because of the nature of the class, the classes will be all female or all male. Mixed classes can be arranged with appropriate permissions. Therapist must be comfortable working on their own bare breast and the bare breast of the other therapists in a group setting.

Course Description
Manual Lymphatic Drainage: Introduction is to help therapist develop a basic awareness of what the Lymphatic System is, how to move and why we should move it. They will explore the restrictions to the lymphatic system, benefits of good lymphatic flow and the function of lymph nodes. The importance in Hydration will be discussed and the effects of a detox reaction. The student will understand the lymphatic pathways and how to treat the lymphatic flow for better health. Fridays 9:00am – 1:00pm, 4 CE’s, $125.00

Course Description
This course is designed to help individuals understand and appreciate the value of an electric vacuum machine. This is a beginning course to help initiate an interest and understanding about the history and value of cupping for better health. We will go over the history of cupping, its tools, and cupping techniques. We will discuss both indications and contraindications for cupping safety. We will explain the connection between the lymphatic system and cupping. Proper hydration will be explained and its importance. Then the class members will then get hands-on experience and instruction on the machine and how to use. Each member will experience what cupping feels like. Fridays 2:00pm – 5:00pm, 3 CE’s, $95.00
